Mets Celebrate Amazin’ Day

Thursday, April 25, 2024

The New York Mets took over New York City with the organization’s first-ever Amazin’ Day on March 25, an all-day citywide extravaganza for Mets fans. Fans who wore a Mets hat or any Mets gear were granted access to several events at iconic NYC institutions, invited to join community-focused events, and enjoyed giveaways throughout the city.

The Amazin’ Mets Foundation invited New Yorkers to meet alumni and support the local community on Amazin’ Day. The Foundation teamed up with North Shore Animal League America for a pop-up animal adoption event at Wollman Rink, where more than 75 animals were adopted. In partnership with the Queens Public Library, the Foundation also launched and distributed over 2,700 Mets co-branded, limited-edition library cards at the Central Library in Jamaica, Queens. Two local little league teams, Encarnacion and La Javilla, were invited out to Citi Field for an afternoon of fun, games and received Foundation-branded baseball equipment from Mets alumni.
