Mets and Amtrak Launch ‘Fun At Bat’ Program

The New York Mets and Amtrak have teamed up to bring USA Baseball’s “Fun at Bat” program to local students across New York City. The program helps teach young students the fundamentals of baseball while placing an emphasis on character development, functional movement, literacy, active play, and fun.
Mr. and Mrs. met visited students at P.S. 28 in Corona, NY to take part in the program. Participants were taught every aspect of the game including fielding, throwing and batting.
