Amazin’ Mets Foundation Celebrates “Dr. Seuss Day” with P.S. 97 in Queens

The Amazin’ Mets Foundation teamed up with Delta Air Lines to visit students from P.S. 97 in Queens for “Dr. Seuss Day!”
On National Read Across America Day, and as part of this year’s Ya Gotta Read! program, the Amazin’ Mets Foundation teamed up with Delta Air Lines to visit students from P.S. 97 in Queens for “Dr. Seuss Day!” Delta volunteers read books to students and Mr. Met made a surprise guest appearance.
Reading is linked to expanded knowledge and vocabulary, improved attention span and memory and increased curiosity and imagination. The goal of the Ya Gotta Read! program is to foster a new generation of lifelong readers by encouraging local students to be excited about reading.
