Ya Gotta Read! – presented by Delta Air Lines
The Amazin’ Mets Foundation is proud to sponsor Ya Gotta Read! presented by Delta Air Lines. The educational program is designed to foster a love of reading in students and enhance their success in school. During the program, participating students are challenged to read for 20 minutes every school night for six weeks, coinciding with the start and finish of Mets Spring Training. The more minutes students read, the further they advance around the bases, and the more Mets prizes they can earn.
In 2023, the Mets are partnering with 22 local elementary schools, impacting a total of 15,000 students.
Since the launch of Ya Gotta Read! in 2017, the program has expanded to impact almost 49,000 students at 48 schools in Queens and Brooklyn.
