Tommy Hunter and Brooks Raley Get Moving With Local Students
The Mets strive to enhance the local community’s health and wellness through various programming efforts. Mets on the Move, presented by Hospital for Special Surgery, gives children a fun way to learn about fitness through a Mets inspired curriculum provided by Mets staff and HSS.
In honor of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, Mets pitchers Tommy Hunter and Brooks Raley joined members of the HSS Sports Safety Team at P.S. 110 and P.S. 22 to visit students for a fun Mets-themed workout. The pitchers led different games and exercises throughout the day and encouraged students to stay motivated throughout the remainder of the program, tracking as many steps as possible with their pedometer watches. The more steps they take, the more Mets prizes they will win.
