New York Mets Annual Holiday Shopping Spree, Presented by Delta Air Lines
The Mets Holiday Shopping Spree presented by Delta Air Lines gives underserved families in Queens an unforgettable holiday experience. This year, the Mets invited 20 children from Women in Need (W.I.N.), the largest provider of shelter and supportive services for families experiencing homelessness in New York City. Mets General Manager, Billy Eppler, pitcher Carlos Carrasco and DH Daniel Vogelbach, along with Delta volunteers surprised the children with a $275 gift card to shop for holiday gifts for themselves.
After, the children enjoyed a pizza party and made holiday crafts with the players and volunteers. The children were also gifted an additional $150 gift card for their families. A total of fifty families from WIN were gifted Target gift cards for the holidays
