Read Across America Day

As part of the 2025 edition of Ya Gotta Read!, presented by Delta Air Lines, Mets front office staff teamed up with Delta volunteers at P.S. 163 in Queens to celebrate Read Across America Day. Volunteers visited classrooms throughout the school to read Dr. Seuss books to students, with a special surprise appearance from Mr. Met.

P.S. 163 is one of 41 elementary schools participating in Ya Gotta Read!, an educational program that motivates students to develop a love for reading by earning Mets-themed prizes. Through this initiative, the Amazin’ Mets Foundation (AMF) is creating a new generation of lifelong readers.

Senior Smiles at DOROT

Mr. and Mrs. Met joined the Amazin’ Mets Foundation at DOROT in Manhattan for a fun-filled Senior Smiles trivia event. Local older adults participated in a three-round trivia challenge, testing their knowledge of the New York Mets and general sports.

Winners took home special Mets prizes, and all participants received a Citi Field puzzle and a Foundation-branded mug.

DOROT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting older adults through a variety of programs and services. By creating intergenerational connections with volunteers of all ages, DOROT helps combat social isolation and enrich the lives of its members.

50/50 Raffle Program Returns in 2025

Launched on Opening Day 2024, AMF’s first ever 50/50 Raffle gave Mets fans the chance to win big while supporting community-based organizations and programs. At every Mets home game, one lucky winner took home half the net proceeds, with the other half benefiting local nonprofit organizations in Queens and beyond.

In its inaugural year, the raffle raised over $770,000, an amount generously matched by the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation. Regular season jackpots totaled over $1.15 million, with record-breaking postseason jackpots surpassing $340,000.

The 50/50 Raffle returns this season for every Mets home game in 2025! Fans 18 and older, currently in New York State, can participate.
