Brandon Nimmo launched his Nimmo’s 9 initiative to support and empower local community members. Through this program, Brandon welcomes a variety of local groups to Mets home games, providing tickets, Mets swag, and the chance to connect with him personally before the game. In the first season of his program, Brandon hosted groups including the Child Center of New York, the Department of Youth and Community Development’s Fatherhood Initiative, Dancing Dreams, Long Island Beep Baseball, and P.S. 69 teachers. In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Brandon Nimmo will host members of Birch Family Services at Citi Field on Wednesday. Birch Family Services, a grantee of the Amazin’ Mets Foundation, supports individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. During batting practice, Nimmo will meet attendees, learn their stories, and distribute Mets swag.
