In 2022, the Mets launched “Mindfulness with the Mets,” a program focused on enhancing the health and wellness of young members of the community.
This program focuses on encouraging young students to learn about the importance of mental health and find ways to bring positive thinking and solutions to help ease anxiety and combat depression. For the 2024-2025 school year, AMF provided a grant to fund their Mind Body Matters program at Astoria Women’s Leadership Middle School and High School.
The Amazin’ Mets Foundation has also funded a grant to the Child Center of NY for their new center in Woodside, Queens that offers therapy by licensed mental health and substance abuse professionals to children and adolescents — including those in foster care.
